How to easily integrate a XMPP server with Nextcloud. This tutorial is a work in progress, please check back later.

Nextcloud can be easily integrated via LDAP. Please refer to the official documentation and the LLDAP configuration example.

For the integration with XMPP please refer to our LDAP tutorial.

The JSXC project provides more advanced integration via their Nextcloud app and the XMPP-cloud-auth software. Sadly this integration is not yet updated to be compatible with the latest version of Nextcloud.

The User_external app for Nextcloud also allows authenticating directly with a Prosody MySQL or MariaDB database.
